How much did your van conversion cost?

who built your van and how LONG DID it TAKE?

We built it! It took about 9 weeks working all day, every day on our van to complete our van build.

IS IT TRUE THAT YOU’RE BUILDING VANS? WHERE IS YOUR SHOP LOCATED?

How much does your Van weigh?

The gross vehicle weight of the 170” wheelbase Sprinter 2500 is 8,550 pounds. Our van weighs in at 8,300 pounds fully loaded (us, our stuff, full gas tank, aluminess roof rack, full water tanks, etc). We built everything out of 3/4” birch plywood and 1” poplar, but if we did it again we would use 1/2” birch plywood. We are using 1/2” birch plywood and 1/2” poplar for our current van builds to save on weight.

HOW TALL ARE YOUR COUNTERTOPS HOW BIG IS YOUR BATHROOM, ETC?

HOW DO YOU MAKE MONEY ON THE ROAD?

We have a video all about this on our YouTube channel! There were 3 main ways we made money on the road that we share below. We still make money with all 3 of these now, but we’ve added a 4th way which is Custom Van Conversions!

HOW DO YOU GET INTERNET ON THE ROAD?

We get internet on the road through our Verizon hotspot and our Weboost device. Each one of our phones gets 15 GB of hotspot data per month and we added a Verizon Jetpack for an additional 15 GB of data per month. Combined with our Weboost Cell Signal Booster, we had great service all over the U.S. However, note that if you’re in Canada data is often limited to 1/2 GB per day so use your data wisely when traveling in Canada.
